WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The warranty period is not renewed or extended as a result of a warranty repair or replacement. The sales receipt for the product must be provided as a proof of purchase when a warranty claim is made. The warranty is not transferable and is only offered to the original purchaser of the product. The warranty only applies to products purchased through 99 Bikes. Any approved warranty work must be completed by 99 Bikes. To the extent that any conditions or warranty implied by law is excludable, such a condition or warranty is excluded.
In addition to the above our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
ALLOY, STEEL FRAME & RIGID FORK WARRANTY
Pedal Bike frames are warranted for life* from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. The frame is warranted for a maximum combined (weight of rider & any carried goods) carrying capacity of 100kgs (unless otherwise specified). *Lifetime is defined as up to 10 years.
DUAL SUSPENSION FRAME WARRANTY
All Pedal Dual Suspension bike frames are warranted for a 2 Year period from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. Maximum combined (weight of rider & any carried goods) carrying capacity of 100kgs.
NON-ELECTRICAL PARTS & SUSPENSION WARRANTY
The following components (non-electrical) are warranted to be free from manufacturer defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 1 Year period from the date of original purchase: fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, brake levers, brake calipers, brake rotors, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, spokes, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, gear shifter, kickstand, rack, mudguards (unless otherwise specified). Parts may need to be returned to 99 Bikes for testing prior to replacement or repair.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WARRANTY
The following components (electrical) are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 2 year period from the date of original purchase: motor, battery, battery charger, controller, display. Parts may need to be returned to 99 Bikes for testing prior to replacement or repair.
The battery warranty will exclude damage from overcharging or power surges, use of improper or non-approved Pedal Bike charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear, physical damage or water damage. Age related reduction in the capacity of the battery is normal and unavoidable and as such does not constitute a fault. If the battery has a capacity of at least 60% within 2 years of purchase it will be considered acceptable. Pedal Bikes reserves the right for the battery to be returned for testing to establish the capacity before any repair or replacement is authorised.
EXCLUSIONS
Paint & surface finish is subject to wear and tear (including fading/discolouration and corrosion). Other components subject to normal wear and tear and are not covered under this warranty include: tyres, inner tubes, valves, lamps for lighting system, wiring looms, battery (dry cell), handlebar grips, brakes pads, brake cables, gear cables, oils and lubricants, chain, suspension forks, rear shocks, bearings (including headset, bottom bracket, wheel and frame linkages) and the derailleur hanger.
USEAGE EXCLUSIONS
The following acts are not covered under warranty: damage caused by acts of god, damage caused by improper use or force majeure, damage which results from improper or insufficient care, repairs or maintenance, alterations, modifications or the replacement of parts by persons other than trained mechanics, commercial use, accidental damage, neglect, abuse, misuse, repairs resulting from the use of unauthorised tools or hand parts, damage caused from competitive use, damage caused by stunt riding or exceeding the bikes carrying capacity or damage caused by misadventure.
To obtain service under this warranty, the bicycle should be returned to the authorised Pedal dealer on the same continent from which it was purchased, in an assembled condition, together with a receipt or appropriate proof of purchase document which identifies the bicycle by frame number.
Should this bicycle or any part or accessory be determined by 99 Bikes to be defective and covered by this limited warranty, 99 Bikes will at its option, either replace or repair any defective product, part or accessory. Dealer labour charges for installing replacement parts or accessories are not covered by this limited warranty. Should replacement be required and an exact match not be available, the closest possible substitute will be used.
The bicycle has not been designed, manufactured or sold for use at any time or place or in any manner whatsoever as a power driven vehicle, motocross, stunt riding, ramp jumping, acrobatics, or rental, hiring or other such commercial activity and this limited warranty does not cover these acts (unless otherwise specified or unless through specific commercial contract).
